Artisan Spirits
Artisan Spirits continues its signature elegant styling with their GR86 offerings, bringing two distinct options to the table. The lip kit maintains the car's sleek factory lines while adding a touch of aggression to the front and rear. But if you're looking to go all out, their widebody kit transforms the GR86 into a street fighter with flared arches and a more imposing stance. This is by far one of my favorite kits for the GR86.
INGS N-Spec R
The bold, aggressive design of the INGS kit brings an early 2000s "sex spec" vibe to the otherwise tame lines of the GR86.This setup blends function with style, offering improved aerodynamics through its aggressive front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser. It’s ideal for anyone looking to dominate time attack events while keeping the car’s aesthetic sharp and race-ready. Plus, the kit’s streamlined design enhances airflow, adding a touch of performance credibility to your GR86’s appearance.
Varis
This is how you do widebody right! This kit isn’t for the faint-hearted—it’s built for those who want their car to command attention both on the streets and at the circuit. Wide front and rear fenders create a menacing silhouette, while the optional GT wing completes the look. Like their previous designs, Varis ensures that form follows function, making this a perfect option for anyone who wants to merge style with aerodynamic efficiency.
Vertex Widebody
Just like their kit for the GT86, Varis delivers a masterfully executed GT-style design for the GR86. It features flared arches and bold lines that align with the car’s natural curves, making it look like a factory-fitted upgrade—just with a lot more attitude. My personal favorite part of this kit has to be the rear bumper, it almost looks like they brought the airflow designs on the front bumper all the way to the back… so cool. Everyone at Varis deserves a raise!
TRD
TRD keeps things factory-fresh with their GR86 kit, offering a refined, sporty look that amplifies the car’s stock lines without going overboard. This kit includes a front lip, side skirts, and a subtle rear diffuser, all designed to keep the car looking aggressive while retaining its original character. I recommend paint matching all of the black accents to the body color of your car.
Voltex
The Voltex kit complements the GR86 the way a bust-down Rolex complements the wrist of a human male—elegant, expensive, and clean. It’s got a steep price tag, but if you’re ready to invest, this kit will make your car stand out in all the right ways. Just be prepared to send a hefty sack of doubloons straight to Japan. They probably take card too.
Sard GT1
This kit from SARD is a bit of a wild card—you either love it or hate it. The quirky triangular shapes make it a bit tricky to style, but if done right, you can create something truly unique. The front bumper is especially satisfying, with a design that feels unconventional but strangely appealing.
Aimgain (bumper)
I wasn’t a huge fan of this kit at first; it reminded me too much of the awkward plastic mustache from the first-gen BRZ. But after seeing how Paul Berndt pulled it off on his car, it really started to grow on me. The headlight covers give the car a mean, mysterious look that can completely change its vibe, if that’s what you’re going for.
HKS Widebody
HKS’s widebody kit for the GR86 is all about pushing boundaries. Inspired by their roots in motorsport, this kit features flared arches, an aggressive front splitter, and a functional rear diffuser. Check out the vents they left open behind the fenders for extra airflow, such a cool design! Pair this with an HKS supercharger, and you are ready for…. whatever you want to do.
XENO Widebody
XENO’s take on the GR86 is a fresh, modern interpretation of widebody styling. The kit includes flared fenders, sleek side skirts, and a distinctive rear side wing above the rear quarter panel which you may either love or hate. XENO’s approach is all about blending bold styling with a streamlined design, making this kit perfect for those who want to stand out with a unique, avant-garde build.
IKON (Sideskirts)
Sometimes, less is more—and IKON proves this with their simple yet effective side skirts for the GR86. These skirts cover up that awkward caved in shape toward the rear of the factory side skirt and add a touch of extra flair without dramatically altering the car’s overall appearance. Pair this with the TRD front lip and rear bumper cover and you have yourself a solid base for a clean build.
